This policy covers Serin Technologies LLC (“Serin Labs,” “we”), this website (https://serinlabs.com), and our mobile apps, including Security+ SY0-701 Prep. Questions: contact@serinlabs.com.

This website

serinlabs.com is a static site hosted by Vercel. We do not put advertising or analytics pixels on these pages. The host may see standard request logs (IP address, user agent, URL, time) to operate the site and stop abuse. We do not sell that data.

Our apps — what we do not collect

Our exam-prep apps do not require an account. We do not ask for your name, email, or phone number in the app. Progress, scores, theme, and onboarding state stay on your device.

Device identifier

The app generates an anonymous device ID on first launch and stores it on the device. We send it as X-Device-Id to our API and use it as the RevenueCat app user id so subscriptions restore on that installation. It is not your Apple ID or a name.

Purchases

Subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store (and Google Play where offered). Apple or Google processes payment. We use RevenueCat to check entitlement (whether Pro is active) and to show offerings. We do not receive your full card number. Receipt and subscription status are handled by those providers under their policies.

Study explanations

If you open an explanation for a missed question and we do not already have cached text on the device, the app may send the question stem, answer choices, and the index you picked to our API so we can return a short explanation. Our API may call OpenAI for that text. Do not put personal information into those fields; they are exam items, not a chat profile. Cached explanations remain on device.

Our API

App API traffic is hosted on Fly.io. Requests include the anonymous device id and which exam pack you are using (for example SY0-701). Logs may be kept briefly for reliability and abuse prevention.

Children

The apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete what we can.

Your choices

  • Delete the app to remove on-device progress and the local device id.
  • Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.
  • Email contact@serinlabs.com to ask what we store server-side for a device id you provide, or to ask us to delete API logs we still hold.

Retention and sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share data only with the processors above (Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Fly.io, OpenAI, Vercel) to run the product, or if the law requires it. We keep server logs only as long as needed to operate the service.

International users

We are based in the United States. If you use the apps from elsewhere, your information may be processed in the US and in the regions those processors use.

Changes

We will update this page if the product changes. The date at the top is the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the new policy.
